Interesting in Joining the Lab?Each semester Dr. Cho accepts about six students to work in his lab. Students who work in the lab are enrolled in PSY 4395: Special Projects in Psychology, a three-credit course.
Students who work in the lab must attend a weekly 1-hr lab meeting where the lab meets as a group to discuss ongoing projects and future projects. In addition, students are expected to collect data for ongoing projects (about 3 hours/week, with the scheduling being somewhat flexible to the student's availability). Students are expected to complete short writing assignments assigned by Dr. Cho. Students who wish to take a more active role in the lab are invited to become a coauthor on a project. Dr. Cho has worked with many undergraduates on their own project, the results of which have been published in peer-reviewed journals (see Publications page), or have been presented at academic conferences. Given the competitive nature of being accepted to graduate programs, especially doctoral programs, these days, having strong research experience is almost a necessity for admission. If you are interested in joining the lab, please contact Dr. Cho ([email protected]). |
